São Tomé e Príncipe removed from FATF blacklist

On 18 October 2013, the Financial Action Task Force, the global standard setting body for anti-money laundering and combating the financing of terrorism (AML/CFT), announced that São Tomé e Príncipe is removed from the list of countries that have strategic deficiencies in their AML/CFT standards and that have not made sufficient progress in addressing the deficiencies or have not committed to an action plan developed with the FATF to address the deficiencies.
