Financial Services Authority guidance on assessing suitability

On 6 January 2011, the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the UK issued a guidance on "Assessing suitability: Establishing the risk a customer is willing and able to take and making a suitable investment selection". The guidance is prompted by the level of unsuitable advice (and quality of private client discretionary management services) that the FSA has seen in the market.
