Clifford Chance advises Endemol Germany on a joint venture with Jörg Pilawa
The international law firm Clifford Chance advised Endemol's German arm on its joint venture with Jörg Pilawa's production firm, Herr P, as part of which Endemol acquired a majority stake in the company. Marcus Wolter, Endemol Germany's managing director, and Jörg Pilawa will be joint managing directors of Herr P.
Jörg Pilawa is one of Germany's most popular TV presenters and has already been working with Endemol Germany since the autumn of 2010 as co-producer and presenter of "Rette die Million!", the German version of the game show "The Money Drop", for the public service TV station "ZDF". Further projects are already in development.
Endemol is a leader in television production and audio visual entertainment worldwide. Endemol produces over 500 different shows in almost 200 countries. Endemol employs about 250 people in Germany.
The Clifford Chance team led by partner Dr. Bernd Meyer-Witting consisted of counsels Markus Muhs and Dr. Jörg Sommer (all Corporate) as well as partner Dr. Thorsten Vormann and associate Christoph Crützen (both Intellectual Property), all Frankfurt.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance hat Endemol Deutschland GmbH, Köln, bei einem Joint Venture mit der Produktionsfirma Herr P von Jörg Pilawa beraten. Endemol erwirbt die Mehrheit an dem Unternehmen. Die Geschäftsführung übernehmen Jörg Pilawa und Marcus Wolter, Geschäftsführer der Endemol Deutschland GmbH. Beide produzieren seit Herbst 2010 zusammen bereits das ZDF-Quiz "Rette die Million". Weitere Projekte sind in Planung.
Endemol ist ein weltweit führendes Unternehmen im Bereich Fernsehproduktion und audio-visueller Unterhaltung. Endemol produziert über 500 verschiedene Shows in fast 200 Ländern. Für Endemol Deutschland sind rund 250 Mitarbeiter tätig.
