Maria Fernanda is a member of the firm's Latin America group. Her experience focuses on advising foreign and domestic clients on M&A transactions, as well as financing transactions in Latin America.

She also has experience advising issuers and underwriters in capital markets transactions in Latin America.

  • Banco General, S.A., as lender, in the uncommitted credit facility granted in favor of several entities of the Pantaleon Group for up to $50 million
  • Petroperú in connection with the successful consent solicitation directed to the holders of its 4.750% Notes due 2032 and 5.625% Notes due 2047
  • Credivalores in connection with a capitalization transaction involving private equity fund GDA Luma, which included the negotiation and execution of (i) an exchange agreement, pursuant to which Credivalores issued new shares to GDA Luma in exchange for a portion of Credivalores' 8.875% Senior Notes due in 2025 held by GDA Luma that were subsequently cancelled, and (ii) an amendment to the company's shareholders' agreement
  • Banco Santander as sole lead arranger, sole bookrunner and lender, and Banco Internacional del Perú S.A.A., Banco Latinoamericano de Comercio Exterior, S.A., Banco de Crédito e Inversiones S.A., Miami Branch and Banco Internacional de Costa Rica S.A., as lenders, on the financing for the acquisition of a 50% stake in Trabajos Maritimos S.A. (Tramarsa) in Peru
  • Banco Santander and Gramercy on a senior secured acquisition financing provided to a group of borrowers incorporated in Chile, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, Costa Rica and the British Virgin Islands
  • Actis on its acquisition of a portfolio of combined cycle power plants and a gas pipeline in Mexico operated by MT Falcon Holdings S.A.P.I. de C.V.
  • Interconexión Eléctrica S.A. E.S.P. (ISA) on its joint venture with Transelec and CSG for Chile’s Kimal-Lo Aguirre energy transmission line
  • Cristalerías Toro SpA in connection with a Section 4(a)(2) private placement of US$60 million aggregate principal amount of fixed-rate notes with an eight-and-a-half year tenor
  • Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest) and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on the US$218.5 million 15-year bond issuance to refinance the "Rutas 2 y 7" road project in Paraguay, which is owned by Sacyr Concesiones and Ocho A
  • Citigroup Global Markets Inc, JP Morgan Securities LLC and Scotia Capital (USA) Inc., as initial purchasers, in the issuance by Empresa Generadora de Electricidad Haina, S.A. of US$300 million in 5.625% sustainability-linked notes due 2028
  • BofA Securities, Inc., Canaccord Genuity Corp., and Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC as initial purchasers in the inaugural offering by Gran Colombia Gold Corp of US$300 million in 6.875% senior unsecured notes due 2026
