Florencia Bohl focuses her practice on commercial and investment arbitration disputes in Latin America under ICC, LCIA, ICDR, ICSID, and UNCITRAL Rules. She has experience advising clients in disputes concerning a wide range of regulated sectors, including energy, oil & gas, transportation, telecommunications, and infrastructure.
Prior to joining Clifford Chance, Florencia practiced at a law firm in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
- Represented a Mexican investor in the finance sector in an ICSID arbitration against a Central American State for the judicial expropriation of its investment.
- Represented a Peruvian investor in a PCA arbitration under UNCITRAL Rules against a South American State concerning the expropriation of a cement factory.
- Represented a renewable energy company in two ICSID arbitrations against Panama and Costa Rica which were successfully settled in June 2021 and February 2023.
- Represented two American investors bringing legacy claims under NAFTA in two ICSID arbitrations.
- Represented an American contractor in an arbitration under LCIA rules against a Spanish company related to the supply of turbines for a hydroelectric plant in Latin America.
- Represented a South American conglomerate in an ICC arbitration against a State-owned company for the early termination of a contract to build and operate a gas compression plant.
- Represented a company from the natural gas sector in an ICC dispute against a transportation company arising of the breach of the local regulations and early termination of the contract.
