Augusta Elliott specialises in high value banking and commercial litigation, often involving multiple jurisdictions. She has significant experience in advising on M&A, fraud, antitrust, bribery, ultra vires and shareholder disputes.
She also advises clients in relation to regulatory and white collar crime cases, as well as large scale, complex inquiries.
Augusta has completed secondments to the Litigation and Contentious Regulatory department of a major UK bank, as well as Airbus' headquarters in Toulouse.
She regularly provides pro-bono advice on family law matters at a domestic violence clinic and has been included in The Law Society's 2025 Pro-Bono Recognition List for her commitment to pro-bono work.

- Advising a major European bank defending a €1 billion plus High Court litigation relating to the enforceability of interest rate swaps with allegations of ultra vires and bribery.
- Defending a major UK bank in High Court litigation relating to allegations of collusion to supress USD LIBOR. The case concerned antitrust and fraudulent misrepresentation claims.
- Advising a JSE listed mining company in respect of litigation arising from a terminated acquisition as a result of a geotechnical event.
- Advising a European investment management firm on a wide variety of claims in Hong Kong, the Netherlands and the BVI relating to a joint venture that was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. The BVI claims concern alleged breaches of fiduciary duty and unlawful means conspiracy, which have been appealed to the Privy Council.
- Advising a minority shareholder of a Premier League football club in relation to a debt claim and an unfair prejudice claim
- Advising a Channel Islands based corporate services provider in relation to alleged money laundering offences.
- Advising a major UK bank in relation to a third party inquiry concerning the institution's investigation and reporting of historical fraud.
