Clifford Chance advises Partners Group on sale of public sector cloud software company Civica

Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised leading global private markets firm Partners Group, acting on behalf of its clients, on the sale of Civica, a global provider of cloud software solutions for the public sector to Blackstone. UK Headquartered, Civica delivers critical services, across seven countries, to over 6,000 public bodies such as local councils, government departments, health and social care providers, and schools, helping them operate more effectively through automating and streamlining services.

Under the tenure of Partners Group, Civica has been transformed into a pure software business with its product portfolio spanning across workflow and automation, risk and compliance, workforce management, financial management, and data analytics and insights.

The Private Equity M&A team was led by Partner Spencer Baylin in London with support from Senior Associate Mark Inkester, Director of Financial Investors Natalia van der Laat and Associates Artem Paoutov and Eleanor Burkin.
