Tomáš Richter elected to the Board of Directors of the International Insolvency Institute
Associate Professor Tomáš Richter, Of Counsel at Clifford Chance LLP, was elected to the Board of Directors of the International Insolvency Institute, a non-profit organization dedicated to improving international cooperation in the insolvency area, at its 19th annual conference held in Barcelona in June. He thus became the first member of the Board of Directors from the Central and Eastern Europe in the 19-year history of the International Insolvency Institute.
Tomáš Richter was admitted as an attorney at law in 1998 and has served as an arbitrator since 2004. He joined Clifford Chance in 2006. He heads the Prague office's Knowledge & Information department and provides legal consultancy services to clients. He is the author of numerous publications that were published both in the Czech Republic and abroad. As a consultant, he participated in the drafting of Czech and EU legal regulations and most recently he was advising the European Commission on the new directive 2019/1023 on preventive restructuring frameworks. Chambers & Partners ranks him among leading experts specialising in insolvency and restructuring in the Czech Republic.

Docent Tomáš Richter, Of Counsel působící v mezinárodní advokátní kanceláři Clifford Chance, byl na výroční konferenci v Barceloně zvolen členem představenstva International Insolvency Institute, neziskové organizace zaměřující se na rozvoj mezinárodní spolupráce v oblasti insolvence. V devatenáctileté historii International Insolvency Institute jde o prvního člena představenstva pocházejícího ze zemí střední a východní Evropy.
Tomáš Richter je advokátem od roku 1998, od roku 2004 je také rozhodcem. V advokátní kanceláři Clifford Chance působí od roku 2006, a kromě poskytování právních konzultací klientům vede v Clifford Chance Prague také právní know-how. Je autorem řady publikací v tuzemsku i zahraničí. Jako konzultant se podílel na tvorbě právních předpisů v České republice i Evropské unii, naposledy asistoval Evropské komisi při tvorbě návrhu nové směrnice 2019/1023 o restrukturalizačních rámcích.
