Clifford Chance wins 'Inclusion and Diversity in Legal Services' at the British Legal Technology Awards 2022. This award recognises the firm's continued efforts to shape our inclusion and diversity agenda and the impact of our extensive young talent programmes across the UK.

Tom Slate, Global Best Delivery Director, comments, 'We are delighted to have won this award recognising our various apprenticeships, internships and graduateship programmes. Our programmes aim to encourage a young and diverse talent pool to explore careers in different aspects of legal innovation. This achievement highlights all the great work our teams do in collaboration with HR.'

The talent programmes featured in our submission included our Paralegal Apprenticeship Scheme, Learning Internships for Future Trainees programme (LIFT), Legal Project Management and Continuous Improvement Apprenticeships, Business Administration Apprenticeships and IT Engineering Graduate Scheme. Each programme provides candidates with opportunities to experience working in a global law firm while exploring alternative careers in the legal profession, specifically within Innovation.

Lucy Nixon, Director of our Newcastle office, adds, ' A key element of our entry was our Newcastle paralegal apprentice scheme. Our Newcastle office was a first mover in offering paralegal apprentices, and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do. Our apprentices make a fantastic contribution to our business and are a key part of our growth plan.'
