Clifford Chance has ranked highly in three key categories in the Chambers Crisis and Risk Management Guide for 2022. In the global-wide rankings, the firm was ranked Band 1 for ESG Risk, with Rae Lindsay and Nigel Howorth receiving mentions as notable practitioners.

The firm also achieved a Band 2 ranking for Crisis Management, with David DiBari and Luke Tolaini identified as key contacts.

In addition to the global results, the firm was ranked Band 1 in the Crisis Management – UK, with Luke Tolaini recognised as a Band 1 practitioner.

"We are delighted to be ranked so highly in these categories which were extremely competitive this year," said Rae Lindsay, partner in L&DR and member of the ESG Risk team & ESG Board. "The recognition, based on peer and client feedback, reflects clients' willingness to engage us on their ESG & sustainability matters, an area of increasing strategic importance to their businesses. This is true across all sectors and regions. The rankings will support our outreach to clients in the ESG and sustainability areas, which engage new forms of opportunity and risk for clients who are under external scrutiny when dealing with evolving regulation and standards around sustainable business models, and their internal governance to manage climate change and social risks."

The Chambers Crisis and Risk Management Guide is a specialist guide for crisis management and risk advisory services. The lawyers and other professionals ranked in the guide help in-house legal teams prepare for and respond to crisis situations around the world, and it is now in its second year running.
