Clifford Chance is pleased to announce that Audley Sheppard QC has been elected to the Governing Board of the International Council for Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) effective from the 1st April 2020. ICCA is a worldwide non-governmental organisation (NGO) devoted to promoting the use and improving the processes of arbitration, conciliation and other forms of resolving international commercial disputes.

Governing Board Members are recognised specialists in the field of dispute resolution. At present, there are 40 Governing Board Members coming from 35 different countries.

Speaking to the new appointments, ICCA President Gabrielle Kaufmann-Kohler notes: “ICCA is thrilled to welcome these six prominent arbitration experts to the Governing Board. I am confident that they will contribute their expertise to the debates within ICCA’s Board and innovative ideas to ICCA’s various projects and task forces.”
