Competition Spotlight on Australia's Financial Sector

As part of its 2017-18 Budget, the Australian Government announced a range of measures impacting Australia's financial sector. Most controversially, the Government will impose a “major bank levy” on Australia’s five major domestic banks, which will raise approximately $6.2 billion over four years.
