Glen Donath

Glen Donath has three decades of experience as a white-collar criminal defense and investigations lawyer, representing clients in some of their most high-profile, important, and difficult matters. He has served as lead defense counsel for Fortune 50 companies, senior executives, Members of Congress, leading universities, and various other entities and individuals. An accomplished trial lawyer, Glen helps clients identify and manage risk, and when necessary, defends them in government enforcement actions and private lawsuits.

Glen has successfully represented major public corporations, financial institutions, health care providers, universities, and various other entities in an array of complex civil and criminal proceedings, including matters arising under Anti-Money Laundering (AML), sanctions, securities, tax, False Claims Act (FCA), health care, environmental, bribery and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), and other criminal statutes. He also has successfully defended many prominent corporate officers and high-ranking public officials in similar matters. He regularly represents clients in matters before the Department of Justice (DOJ), the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), Congress, and various other federal and state authorities. Glen also regularly conducts sensitive internal investigations for major corporations and their boards of directors.

A former highly-regarded federal prosecutor, Glen previously served for a number of years as a Senior Assistant US Attorney in the Fraud and Public Corruption Section of the US Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, where he conducted grand jury investigations and prosecuted cases involving a wide variety of white collar matters, including health care fraud, money laundering, mail and wire fraud, tax offenses, bankruptcy fraud, and government corruption. During his time as a federal prosecutor, Glen first-chaired dozens of trials involving a wide range of criminal offenses to successful verdicts. He received numerous Department of Justice Special Achievement Awards for sustained superior performance.

Glen appears frequently in the media as an authority on white collar criminal defense and government investigations. He has appeared on CNN's Erin Burnett OutFront, CNN Tonight with Don Lemon, and NPR's Morning Edition. He has also been quoted in various publications including the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Bloomberg Business Week, Fortune, Forbes, LA Times, AP, Reuters, and many others.

While in law school, Glen served as an editor of The University of Chicago Law Review. He also served as a law clerk to the Honorable A. Raymond Randolph of the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit.
