Benjamin Fisher

Benjamin Fisher specializes in cross-border asset finance transactions within the aviation sector and has extensive experience advising clients on a wide range of transaction types including secured and unsecured debt financing, portfolio acquisitions and sales, securitizations, restructurings, operating leases, finance leases, export credit agency-supported financings and joint ventures.

Prior to joining the New York office, Benjamin worked for a number of years in the London and Hong Kong offices. He is dually qualified to practice in New York and England and Wales.

  • Advising Goldman Sachs, as arranger, in connection with the issuance by AASET 2021-1 Trust of $817.582 million fixed rate secured notes secured by a portfolio of 34 aircraft and related leases
  • Advising Aviation Capital Group in connection with a US$500 million unsecured loan with Mizuho Bank Ltd. supported by an Overseas Untied Loan Insurance policy from Nippon Export and Investment Insurance, the official export credit agency of Japan (Aviation 100 "Asia-Pacific Supported Finance Deal of the Year" award from Airline Economics 2021)
  • Advising COPA Airlines in connection with the financing of seven Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft supported by The Export-Import Bank of the United States
  • Advising Seraph Aviation in connection with its inaugural aviation ABS co-investment vehicle which offered US$726 million of rated notes secured by a portfolio of 19 aircraft
  • Advising Credit Agricole and Natixis, as debt coordinators in connection with the US$950 million syndicated secured 41 aircraft portfolio financing for Vermillion Aviation ("Aircraft Lessor Debt Deal of the Year – Asia 2018" by Global Transport Finance 2018)
  • Advising CDB Aviation in connection with its inaugural syndicated secured aircraft portfolio financing ("Aircraft Lessor Debt Deal of the Year – Asia 2017" by Global Transport Finance 2017)
  • Advising BOC Aviation in relation to a US$1.5 billion unsecured syndicated revolving credit facility
