Evert Verwey is part of the Amsterdam Litigation practice and is a member of the Restructuring and Insolvency team in Amsterdam.
He focuses on insolvency-related matters and contentious restructurings, including WHOA proceedings and work-out scenarios. His practice also spans general banking and finance litigation, with particular emphasis on security rights, directors’ liability, and lender liability issues. He advises banks, financial institutions, and large corporations, including their (supervisory) boards, and represents these clients in litigation across these areas of law. Evert was previously a court appointed bankruptcy receiver and has several positions in (inter-)national industry bodies, such as INSOL Europe and INSOLAD.
