Karandeep advises States and corporations in complex international Investor-State disputes and commercial arbitration cases, with a particular focus on Europe, APAC and the MENA region.
He advises clients in a variety of sectors, including oil & gas, renewable energy, infrastructure projects, telecommunications and aerospace, as well as in disputes arising from M&A transactions and construction contracts.
His experience includes advising:
- Greenland Minerals Ltd. in ad hoc arbitration proceedings against the Kingdom of Denmark and the Government of Greenland concerning a dispute over mining rights
- the Republic of Slovenia in ICSID arbitration proceedings under the Energy Charter Treaty in the context of a gas fracking licence
- a French multinational infrastructure company in a post-M&A dispute against a Swiss energy company in arbitration proceedings seated in Switzerland (SCAI)
- a telecommunications conglomerate based in Africa against a multinational business partner in international commercial arbitration proceedings seated in Sweden (ICC)
- a multinational building materials company in a post-M&A dispute in arbitration proceedings seated in Germany (DIS)
- a telecommunications company in a potential arbitration dispute against a Chinese multinational corporation under English law
