Clifford Chance advised Millennium Invest on the acquisition from Accor of a stake in the Orient Express group
Clifford Chance advised Millennium Invest on its acquisition of a stake in the Orient Express group from Accor Luxury & Lifestyle, a subsidiary of the Accor group.
Millennium Invest thus becomes the third shareholder of the Orient Express group, alongside Accor Luxury & Lifestyle and LVMH, as part of the strategic partnership entered into by the latter in 2024 to accelerate the development of Orient Express. Historically known for operating luxury trains for over 140 years, the iconic brand has recently unveiled the Orient Express Corinthian, the world’s largest sailing yacht, built by Chantiers de l’Atlantique. Sailing under the French flag, this 220-metre vessel embodies a new era of travel, combining cutting-edge naval innovation with French craftsmanship excellence. A second sister ship, the Orient Express Olympian, is currently under construction and will further expand the group’s offering, which also includes luxury hotels.

Clifford Chance a conseillé Millennium Invest dans le cadre de l’acquisition d’une participation au sein du groupe Orient Express auprès d’Accor Luxury & Lifestyle, filiale du groupe Accor.
Millennium Invest devient ainsi le troisième actionnaire du groupe Orient Express, aux côtés d'Accor Luxury & Lifestyle et de LVMH, dans la continuité du partenariat stratégique conclu en 2024 entre ces derniers afin d'accélérer le développement d'Orient Express. Historiquement connu pour l'exploitation de luxueux trains depuis plus de 140 ans, le groupe à la marque mythique vient désormais de dévoiler l'Orient Express Corinthian, le plus grand voilier du monde, construit par Chantiers de l'Atlantique. Battant pavillon français, ce voilier de 220 mètres incarne une nouvelle ère du voyage, alliant innovation navale de pointe et artisanat d'art français ; un second bateau sistership, l'Orient Express Olympian, est par ailleurs en voie d'achèvement et viendra compléter l'offre du groupe, qui opère également des hôtels de luxe.
