Clifford Chance has been honoured four times at the IJGlobal ESG Awards 2025.

The awards celebrate the leading Environment, Social and Governance companies, transactions and individuals over the previous 12 months.
Clifford Chance was honoured for our involvement in the following deals:

• IJGlobal ESG Bond of the Year – Climate Investment Funds (CIF) Capital Markets Mechanism (CCMM) $500m bond issuance
• IJGlobal ESG Battery Storage Deal of the Year - Abydos Solar Power Company's 300MWh battery energy storage system (BESS)
• IJGlobal ESG Sustainability-Linked Loan Deal of the Year - €200,000,000 African Development Fund (ADF) partially guaranteed sustainable financing for Republic of Rwanda
• IJGlobal ESG Transportation Deal of the Year - Financing of IONITY

Submissions were reviewed by an international judging committee of established professionals from the infrastructure and energy community, with the awards ceremony hosted in London on the evening of Thursday 9 October.
