ClubHouse

Virtual Pride Art Gallery 2022 – Americas

The ClubHouse (1974–1990) was a social club and activist organizing site established for the African American queer and ally community in the Washington, D.C. region.

The club was formed as an alternative to local bars that discriminated against Black queer patrons.
