Working in a high-performance environment can be challenging but also incredibly rewarding. When people thrive they can deliver their best to our clients, as colleagues and in their communities. As a responsible business we recognise our role in creating a working environment that enables our people to be healthy, well and energised. Our wellbeing strategy focuses on building healthy ways of working into the fabric of our firm with one clear vision and five key enablers.
Wellbeing
Our vision is to enable everyone at Clifford Chance to thrive at work through taking sustainable steps to protect and enhance the energy, health and performance of our people.
Enhance visibility
We boost awareness, bringing health and performance into our everyday vocabulary.
Increase capability
We educate our people and leaders about wellbeing, and provide the right mix of tools, benefits, services and support.
Nurture authenticity
We encourage each other to speak openly and are honest about where we are as a firm.
Build ownership
We all play a role in creating a healthy environment, by taking ownership of our own health and supporting those around us.
Promote good work
We identify and promote healthy working practices that help us deliver fulfilling and sustainable performance.
Bigger than us
We recognise that thriving in law requires all of us to come together - as colleagues, as teams, as a firm and as an industry.
Clifford Chance is proud to be a founding member of the Global Business Collaboration for Better Workplace Mental Health, the first global business-led initiative of its kind designed to advocate for – and accelerate – positive change for mental health in the workplace.
We are a signatory of the Mindful Business Charter, a practical framework that encourages us to be more thoughtful about the impact we have on each other , in the US we are a signatory of the American Bar Association Well-Being Pledge and in the UK we are a member of the National Forum for Health and Wellbeing at Work.
Empowering everyone to thrive
Bolstering our key enablers, and in addition to our culture at Clifford Chance, we deliver a range of initiatives and networks to engage and encourage our firm to deliver good work. We host learning opportunities and sessions with experts, support an internal Mental Health Champions network and enjoy a range of holistic support pathways and excellent office facilities across our global footprint.
