Adebola Akisanya is an associate in the Corporate practice of Clifford Chance's Houston office with a focus on energy and infrastructure matters. His experience includes advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, private equity investments, joint ventures, cross-border transactions and general corporate matters.

Prior to practising in the US, Adebola worked at the Nigerian office of a global law firm and at a leading Africa-focused private equity firm sponsoring funds and managing investments in Sub-Saharan Africa.

  • Represented Redi-Carpet, Inc., and its affiliates, in its acquisition by HD Supply Inc., a subsidiary of The Home Depot*
  • Represented a Texas-based midstream energy process solution and engineered equipment provider in (1) the negotiation of agreements with a Nigerian investment advisory firm, and (2) its subsequent strategic acquisition by Plug Power Inc. (NASDAQ: PLUG)*
  • Represented a California-based electric engineering firm, in its acquisition by KV Power, a private equity-backed electrical infrastructure solutions company*
  • Represented a leading manufacturer of thermal insulation coatings, anti-condensation, and sound damping coatings, in its acquisition by Seal For Life Industries, the global industrial platform of Arsenal Capital Partners, a private equity firm*
  • Represented a UK private equity group in its acquisition of substantially all of the assets of a Houston-based oil and gas services company*
  • Represented a technology-recycling company in the sale of its assets to a private equity group*
