Roy is a commercial litigator with a broad range of experience including securities, commercial contract and company law disputes. Roy has also worked on several investigatory and financial crime matters.
Roy has a particular focus on large-scale litigation (i.e. class actions/group litigation) under FSMA. Roy's clients include corporates, financial institutions and private equity funds. Roy also has significant experience working with clients in the sport sector having advised athletes and governing bodies.

- Advising a UK plc in defence of one of the few multi-shareholder stock-loss claims in the English courts based on alleged knowing or dishonest statements in published information arising from compliance and systems failings
- Advising Serco group on all aspects of the controversy arising from its contracts with the UK's Ministry of Justice – including securing a related deferred prosecution agreement with the UK's SFO
- Advising a global Investment fund in relation to an unfair prejudice petition.
- Advising a German automotive manufacturer in relation to negligent advice it had received during the course of a trial.
- Advising and representing the International Paralympic Committee in the Court of Arbitration for Sport in relation to two matters concerning anti-doping violations.
- Advising separately two organisations in processes under the UK Cabinet Office's Corporate Renewal principles for government suppliers, examining cultural, ethical and governance remediation following compliance/regulatory failings.
