Nissim Massarano advises in all aspects of EU and UK competition law. Nissim advises companies on the merger control aspects of M&A transactions, cartel and abuse of market power investigations, appeals to CMA decisions, the application of foreign investment and national security regimes, UK subsidy control and State aid, market studies and investigations, commercial arrangements, and competition law compliance. Nissim advises clients across a wide range of industries, with a focus on the healthcare, life sciences & chemicals, consumer goods & retail, and energy & infrastructure sectors.

  • Advising Tele2 on its unconditional Phase II merger clearance of its combination of Tele2 Netherlands with T-Mobile Netherlands, the Dutch subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom
  • Advising a private equity client in relation to allegations of anticompetitive agreements and abuse of dominance of a former subsidiary active in the pharmaceutical sector and subsequent appeals
  • A private equity client on successfully defending an investigation in relation to disputed parental liability for an alleged anticompetitive agreement of a former subsidiary active in the pharmaceutical sector
  • Advising Mondelēz on the merger control aspects of its acquisition of Chipita
