Ellen Kerslake is a Solicitor-Advocate specialising in pro bono civil litigation and human rights legal work, with a focus on increasing access to justice.

Ellen acts for clients in pro bono civil litigation and works on pro bono matters spanning disability and racial justice, family law, asylum law, and international human rights. She advises a range of strategic UK pro bono clients, including leading human rights organisations, law reform charities, campaigners, and advice sector organisations.

Ellen manages several of the firm’s flagship legal clinic partnerships, including a domestic abuse and family law clinic and a partnership delivering one-off advocacy for litigants in person at the family court. Ellen also leads the firm’s involvement in the Refugee Law Clinic, specialising in fresh claims for asylum seekers, and co-manages the Refugee Support Scheme, which provides country of origin information memoranda to referral organisations assisting individual asylum seekers.

Previously, Ellen was an Associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice, and worked on commercial litigation, business and human rights, and aspects of public international law.  She has advised corporates and financial institutions in technology litigation, internal and regulatory investigations, and human rights due diligence reviews.

Ellen is admitted as a Solicitor-Advocate (Higher Courts Civil Proceedings) in the Courts of England & Wales.
