Caireen McCluskey is a senior associate in the Energy & Infrastructure Group. Caireen advises procuring authorities, developers, and financiers on the commercial and financing elements of major projects in the infrastructure and energy sectors. She has worked in our London, Sao Paulo, Abu Dhabi and Dubai offices.
Caireen has advised on a wide range of infrastructure transactions including in the healthcare, wastewater treatment, and district cooling sectors, and energy infrastructure transactions with experience in both conventional power and renewables (including offshore wind, solar PV and energy-from-waste).
- Advising The Red Sea Development Company on the BOT procurement of an integrated utility system comprising a PV plant, a wind farm, BESS, biofuel plants, two district cooling plants, eight sewage treatment plants, an RO plant, solid waste treatment and all related transmission and distribution infrastructure in Saudi Arabia
- Advising National Water Company on numerous long term operation and maintenance contracts in relation to the TSE sector in Saudi Arabia
- Advising TAQA on its investment into Masdar as part of the Government of Abu Dhabi's restructure of the renewables sector in the UAE
- Advising Nakheel on its transaction with Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower) in relation to 19 district cooling assets in the UAE
- Advising Borouge on the B4 Petrochemical Project in Ruwais, UAE
- Advising PFA and PKA on the holdco acquisition financing of the Walney Extension wind farm
- Advising Commercial and DFI lenders on the complex financing structure for the US$1 billion 450MW gas-fired Azura-Edo power plant, Nigeria’s first fully privately financed independent power plant. Africa Multi-sourced Financing of the Year 2015, IJGlobal Awards
