Jianxiong Chen (陈键雄) is a Senior Associate in the Corporate practice at Clifford Chance’s Sydney office. He focuses on advising Australian, Chinese and international corporates and institutional investors on complex domestic and cross‑border transactions.
Jianxiong has experience across a broad range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, divestments, cross‑border investments, joint ventures, corporate restructurings, management equity arrangements and corporate governance.
Prior to relocating to Australia, Jianxiong practised in Clifford Chance’s Beijing office, where he advised on China‑related cross‑border transactions involving multinational clients. He has also gained international experience through private practice and international organisations in London, New York and The Hague, giving him a strong understanding of multi‑jurisdictional transactions and cross‑cultural considerations.
Jianxiong holds an LL.B. from the University of International Relations and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School. He is admitted to practise in England and Wales and the State of New York, and is fluent in Mandarin and English.
