Jamie Calvy specialises in resolving commercial disputes in the construction, natural resources, and sports sectors.
Jamie has a global practice, having resolved disputes in all major continents and practised in the UK, the United Arab Emirates, and Australia. He has conducted arbitrations under all major institutional rules, where he has also undertaken his own advocacy.
In construction, Jamie has experience with all major standard form contracts and advises clients on transactional matters. He was a contributory author of ‘FIDIC Contracts in Africa and the Middle East: A Practical Guide to Application’ (Routledge, 2024).
Jamie has a broad natural resources practice, including resolving sale and purchase disputes, as well as disputes between investors and states through treaty mechanisms. In the sports sector, Jamie has represented clubs in disputes against governing bodies and sits as an amateur league arbitrator.
