Daniel is Counsel in our Litigation and Dispute Resolution team, specialising in private international law and cross-border dispute resolution. He has worked in Clifford Chance's London and Sydney offices, expertly navigating complex and novel issues related to choice of law and forum, contract, and corporate insolvency.
Daniel advises and represents global technology companies, multinational corporates, and financial institutions, leveraging his extensive experience in business-critical litigation and arbitration. He holds a Master of Laws and is a PhD Candidate at the University of Sydney focusing on private international law.
Daniel's experience includes disputes in England, Ireland, the United States of America, Hong Kong, and Australia, including representing companies in parallel proceedings across multiple jurisdictions. More recently, Daniel has acted in a cross-border contract and intellectual property dispute, a cross-border insolvency dispute, and an anti-trust dispute involving a stay application on appeal. He also acts in insolvency proceedings and advises on significant restructuring mandates. In the aviation sector, Daniel has represented leading aircraft leasing companies in cross-border insurance and contract disputes as well as represented an aircraft manufacturer on various disputes in different jurisdictions. He has appeared in various arbitrations, including under the HKIAC and ACICA Rules, and advised on foreign state immunity issues in enforcement situations
