Clifford Chance has been named ‘Europe Digital Infrastructure M&A Legal Advisor of the Year by volume' at the TMT M&A Awards 2022, which celebrate and recognise M&A successes with the world's leading telecom, media and tech dealmakers.

Highly regarded by the Judges, Clifford Chance was voted for its work across the digital infrastructure market, including several standout deals over the past 12 months: Cellnex on the acquisition of the European telecommunications towers business of CK Hutchison Holdings for €10 billion; Tele2 on its agreement with Deutsche Telekom to sell T-Mobile Netherlands for €5.1 billion and Brookfield Infrastructure on its acquisition of a 49% interest in Telia Towers and Telia Towers Sweden, one of the largest tower operators in Finland and Norway, for an enterprise value of €1,524 million.

The judges felt that the firm stands ahead when it comes to the sector and in particular work advising infrastructure investors.

The win reinforces Clifford Chance's reputation as a leading law firm in TMT and Infrastructure and follows the Firm's recent Tier one rankings for both in leading global directories.
