Ildefonso Alier specialises in advising investment managers on the establishment and offering of private funds, together with the legal, regulatory and commercial issues relevant to the funds' operation.
Ildefonso also represents a number of institutional investors in connection with proposed private fund commitments.
In addition, he has particular experience advising on private fund transactions, including secondary transactions, fund restructurings, co-investments and manager formation and spin-outs.
Ildefonso works on fund-related matters across all alternative asset classes, including private equity, private credit, venture capital, real estate and infrastructure.
- Azora Capital on the establishment of a multi-strategy opportunistic and sector- agnostic fund (with a focus on high-quality product at a discount plus debt strategies) targeting real estate investments across Europe.
- Suma Capital on the structuring of SC Infra Gestcompost Fund, a €250 million continuation fund, and the acquisition by said fund of the Gestcompost group, an investee of SC Efficiency & Environment Fund II, and the subsequent acquisition of Soluciones Totales de Biometano.
- Q Energy on the structuring and fundraising of their new flagship fund, Q Energy VI.
- Vecta Partners on the fundraising of their flagship fund, Vecta Operational Value.
- Corporación Financiera Alba on its acquisition of a 6% stake in UK-based Nord Anglia Education for approximately US$ 600 million.
