His practice spans securities, derivatives, banking regulation, and emerging issues involving digital assets.
Chase counsels clients on regulatory obligations under the federal securities, commodities, and banking laws, with significant experience navigating cross‑border issues. Chase also advises on financial regulatory issues arising in corporate transactions and represents clients in investigations and enforcement matters involving the SEC, CFTC, FINRA, and the DOJ.
Before joining Clifford Chance, Chase served as an Assistant Chief Counsel in the Division of Market Oversight at the CFTC. Before that, he was a litigation associate at large law firms in New York and DC, and clerked for Judge Rebecca Beach Smith of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
