Dilshaan is an Associate in the Litigation & Dispute Resolution Group in Singapore.

Dilshaan graduated from King’s College London in 2018 and was called to the Singapore Bar in 2020.

He is presently acting for major multinational clients in complex ICC, SIAC, HKIAC and ad-hoc arbitrations across a range of industry sectors.

  • Acting for Southeast Asia’s leading luxury goods and retail specialists in a HKIAC arbitration against a prominent business and travel brand in a HKD 289 million dispute arising out of a distributorship agreement.
  • Representing one of the world’s largest providers of oil field services in an ad-hoc arbitration against the Indian subsidiary of a globally diversified natural resources company headquartered in the UK in a construction dispute worth over a USD300 million arising out of the termination of two development contracts.
  • Defending two group companies of an American international energy technology company in an SIAC arbitration against two subsidiaries of a global leader in manufacturing polyacrylamides headquartered in France in a dispute arising out of the termination of multiple subcontracts brought about by a Covid-19 force majeure event.
  • Representing French and Portuguese engineering, procurement companies part of a multinational oilfield services company in an ICC arbitration against an Australian construction company in a dispute arising out of a consortium agreement related to the construction works for a loading jetty and other marine structures.
  • Representing one of Japan's largest general trading companies in its dispute with a Russian mining and processing enterprise over a contract for the supply of tires.
  • Advising the Cambodian subsidiary of an American energy technology company in its dispute with the subsidiary of a Japanese engineering and construction company on its liability to pay liquidated damages arising out of late delivery under an offshore procurement contract.
  • Acting for a global conglomerate involved in a JV with a major Philippines conglomerate. The client holds shares in the JV company. The shares in the company and other assets are subject to a suit in the Philippines Courts where the Govt of Philippines is contending that the shares were obtained by illicit means by the former leader of the country.
  • Acted for a Cayman Islands based private equity firm in an SIAC arbitration governed by Dutch law against both Netherlands and Philippines based companies over a USD 1.3 billion dispute arising from a joint venture in the Philippines toll way industry.*
  • Advised an American construction and engineering company on the merits of setting aside an SIAC arbitral award in favour of a ministry of a South Asian state.*
  • Acted for a Philippine mining and exploration company in resisting the setting aside application of an SIAC award, brought by a Philippine company in the business of contract mining and equipment rental in the Singapore International Commercial Court.*
  • Acted for a Singaporean gaming developer in an SIAC arbitration against a Korean video game company regarding the validity of a settlement agreement for alleged copyright infringement.*
  • Acted for an Indonesian property investor in an SIAC arbitration against a Singaporean real estate developer over a dispute arising out of a letter of intent for the purchase of two hotels in Singapore.*
  • Successfully resisted the setting aside application in the High Court of Singapore against an ICC arbitration award.*
  • Represented the subsidiary of an Australian mining exploration company incorporated in the Philippines in an SIAC arbitration against a Philippine company in the business of leasing mining equipment over a dispute arising out of a JVA for a mining project.*
  • Defended a Malaysian steel manufacturer against an Italian supplier of physical plants in an ICC arbitration seated in Singapore.*
