Clifford Chance announces winners of the second edition of its Scholarship for Diverse Students in Europe

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance has the pleasure of announcing Martin Arts (Belgium), Fatih Akbal (Belgium) and Genesis Alejandra Gil (Spain) as the winners of the 2023 Scholarship for Diverse Students in Europe. A huge congratulations to them!

The Scholarship is part of the firm's continued efforts to promote diversity and shape a more inclusive future in Continental Europe. This year, in its second edition, the Scholarship was open to final-year university students in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Italy and Spain, who have a diverse cultural or socio-economic background and are majoring in business law. As last year, we were particularly keen to hear from first-generation university students. Each of the winners will receive €10,000 to fund their studies and lay the foundations for a successful early career.

Mustapha Mourahib, Managing Partner at Clifford Chance’s office in Casablanca, and Chair of our Race Equality and Celebrating Heritage (REACH) network in Continental Europe, commented: "Over the past year, REACH has been organizing initiatives all over Europe to enhance the effectiveness of inclusion, both internally and externally. We aim to give everyone a chance, regardless of their background. In this regard, the Scholarship is one of our most important accomplishments. We are proud of all the 150 students who took the courage and time to apply, and we plan to keep in touch with them for future local events and recruitment initiatives in their countries."

The next edition of the Scholarship for Diverse Students in Europe will open in autumn 2023.
