Nicholas Wong has over 20 years’ experience advising on project development and financing.

Nick acts for sponsors, investors, banks, export credit agencies, multilateral financial institutions and governments on the structuring, development and financing of major energy, oil and gas, infrastructure and mining developments in APAC, Europe, Turkey, Russia and the CIS, Middle East and Africa.

Nick is the co-head of the Global Worldwide Projects Group (which is consistently ranked as the number 1 project development and finance firm in the world) and co-head of Finance, APAC.

  • IFC, CDC, FMO, JIC and DEG in relation to the debt financing of an LNG import terminal utilising an FSRU situated offshore Moheshkhali, south eastern Bangladesh. Asia Pacific Midstream Oil & Gas Deal of the Year 2017, IJ Global Awards
  • Yamal LNG, TOTAL, CNODC and NOVATEK in connection with the multi-billion dollar equivalent project financing of a three train LNG plant in Russia. The financing includes ECA backed and Chinese and Russian sources (including COFACE, EKN, JBIC, Euler Hermes, China Development Bank, CEXIM and EXIAR).
