Jessica A. Springsteen is a member of the Americas Energy & Projects Group. She regularly advises commercial banks, multilateral organizations, and export credit agencies in all aspects relating to the development and financing of energy and infrastructure projects worldwide with a particular emphasis in Latin America.

  • IDB Invest, China Co-financing Fund for the Americas, DEG and PROPARCO in relation to the financing of the Port of Posorja in Ecuador; PPP Deal of the Year, Latin America, Infrastructure Investor Awards 2018; Infrastructure Deal of the Year, Latin Lawyer Awards 2018
  • a group of commercial banks and institutional investors in respect of the multi-tranche, multi-currency financing provided to a subsidiary of EIG for the development of the US$1.6 billion Cerro Dominador solar project, which is comprised of a 110MW concentrated solar project and a 100MW photovoltaic project. Upon completion, this will be the first CSP project in Latin America; Best Renewable Energy Financing, Best Infrastructure Financing – Andes 2018, Latin Finance Awards; LatAm Renewable Deal of the Year, PFI Awards 2018; Latin American Solar Deal of the Year, IJ Global Awards 2018; Energy Deal of the Year, Latin Lawyer Awards 2018
  • Itaú Unibanco S.A., New York Branch and Banco de Crédito del Perú in the approximately US$425 million multi-source and multi-currency financing of the Concesión Autopista Conexión Pacífico 2 toll road project in Colombia; Best Loan, Latin Finance Awards 2018
  • SMBC, the Korean Development Bank, Banco de Crédito del Perú, ICO and a group of Colombian banks in respect of the financing of the Conexión Norte toll road in Colombia; Best Road Financing, Latin Finance Awards 2017
  • IDB Invest, KfW and EKF on the US$108 million project financing for the Bicentenario 125.2MW renewable wind energy power plant located in the Province of Santa Cruz, Argentina
  • IFC and IDB Invest in relation to the financing to a subsidiary of Central Puerto for the development and construction of the 100MW La Castellana wind farm in Argentina. The project is among the first round of projects tendered under Argentina's new RenovAr renewable energy program
  • Italian, Belgium and Spanish commercial banks and DD, SACE and CESCE in the financing for the construction consortium which is doing the Third Locks expansion of the Panama Canal (the firm also acted for the multilateral and ECA lenders in the 2008 expansion financing for this project)
  • Credit Agricole, HSBC, BBVA, Santander, Banorte, Banobras, NAFIN, IDB and EKF in relation to a 400MW wind farm in Mexico, which will be the largest wind farm in Latin America
  • IDB in the financing of the design, development, construction, operation and maintenance of the US$1.5 billion, 360MW Pecém coal-fired thermal plant in Ceará, Brazil
  • Natixis, Proparco, DEG, FMO, and US Ex-Im Bank in respect of the financing of the construction of the Marcona (32MW) and Tres Hermanas (90MW) wind farms in Peru
