James Weidner

James Weidner conducts a major commercial litigation practice drawing on over 30 years of advocacy and covering such areas as financial services, securities, antitrust, insurance risk classification, directors and officers liability, trade secrets and employee raiding and consular and international immunities.

James has litigated numerous cases with broad significance at the trial and appellate levels both in single plaintiff and large class action suits, including a series of landmark cases in the insurance, antitrust and finance industries. He was instrumental in carrying several litigations to and through the US Supreme Court concerning the statutory separation of commercial and investment banking.

In government service, James served as the Executive Director of the President's Commission on Aviation Security and Terrorism from November 1989 to June 1990, acted as a consultant to the National Security Council and was counsel in 1975 to the President's Commission on CIA Activities within the US.
