Abigail Cessna is an associate in the U.S. antitrust practice and advises clients on compliance with the U.S. merger control laws, the regulatory review of mergers and acquisitions, and antitrust issues related to intellectual property and technology licensing. Abigail's practice is particularly focused on the intersection of antitrust and technology.

Prior to joining the antitrust practice, Abigail advised on corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures.

Abigail has represented clients across banking, private equity, media, technology, telecommunications, air & space, bio-engineering, agriculture, and chemicals

Representative corporate engagements include:

  • Actis on the acquisition of solar plants in Latin America
  • Financial client on a joint venture divestiture of its Asia business
  • Foreign corporate investment into late series round of U.S. tech start-up financing

Representative antitrust engagements include:

  • S&P Global on the sale of its pricing and evaluations business to Intercontinental Exchange (ICE)
  • ICAP on the sale of its voice broking business to Tullet Prebon
  • SSO on standard setting antitrust compliance
