Clifford Chance
Will is a member of the Global Tech Group and the London Tech // Digital team. He advises on strategic, multi-jurisdictional technology and cyber compliance projects, including in relation to emerging technology, regulation, security preparedness and incident response.
In addition, he supports the drafting and negotiating of key commercial contracts – including in the context of corporate transactions, services and procurement.
Will advises clients across of range of sectors including technology, commercial goods, sports, private equity and financial services.
Will has spent time seconded to a leading, global technology company - where he worked closely teams responding to security threats and supported on the roll-out of data-driven products into new markets.
- Managing strategic global data protection and regulatory compliance projects including those involving the UK and EU GDPR, California's CCPA and China's Personal Data Protection Law.
- Coordinating holistic incident response to significant cyber incidents, including a secondment to a major client to assist with response to significant ransomware attack.
- Pragmatic compliance advice on the global matrix of emerging technology regulation (including Data Act, Digital Markets Act and AI Act in the EU).
- Advising on key procurement and distribution agreements for leading technology and logistics company.
- Negotiating bespoke bottling and distribution agreements for significant global wine manufacturer.
