Clifford Chance advises Begro on financing GreenPowerBank Dronten

Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised its longstanding client Begro Energy Projects ('Begro') on the successful financing for its GreenPowerBank Dronten battery project in the province of Flevoland (the Netherlands), marking Begro's first battery project to reach financial close.

Construction will begin on a 31.6 MW energy storage system. The battery, scheduled for completion by early 2027, will be capable of charging and discharging 126.4 MWh per cycle. The project involves an investment of almost €30 million, a significant portion of which is financed by Rabobank Project Finance. Read more about it here.
