Clifford Chance advises Dagelijks Leven on strategic partnership with NLV for affordable care facilities in the Netherlands

Global law firm Clifford Chance has advised Dagelijks Leven, a fully owned subsidiary of emeis, on a partnership with real estate manager NLV, to support the expansion of emeis in the Netherlands, and marking NLV's first investment in healthcare real estate. Dagelijks Leven specialises in smallscale residential care complexes, providing high-quality care for people with dementia.

This agreement represents a significant milestone for both partners in the Netherlands, aiming to develop 25 new residential care facilities over the next four years. The investment involves a sale-lease-back agreement whereby NLV will purchase the new construction pipeline from the Dutch subsidiary of the emeis Group, that will then lease back the assets, as operator, on a long-term basis.
