Clifford Chance advises the lenders on the financing for the acquisition of a 45% stake in Telefónica's Spanish fiber-to-the-home network
Clifford Chance has advised the consortium lenders on the structuring and commitment for the financing for the over 1 billion euro acquisition of the 45% stake in Telefonica's Spanish rural fiber-to-the-home network by the consortium formed by Vauban Infrastructure Partner and Crédit Agricole Assurances.
The newly created company Bluevia formed by telecom operator Telefónica and the referred new investors will connect 3.5 million households in rural Spain with the objective to reach 5 million homes in total by 2024 and offer wholesale FTTH access to all internet service providers.

Clifford Chance ha asesorado a los prestamistas del consorcio formado por los inversores Vauban Infrastructure Partner y Crédit Agricole Assurances en la estructuración y aseguramiento de la financiación para la adquisición de una participación del 45% en la red de fibra óptica hasta el hogar (FTTH) de Telefónica.
La nueva empresa Bluevia, creada por el operador de telecomunicaciones Telefónica y los mencionados nuevos inversores, conectará a 3,5 millones de hogares en zonas rurales de España con el objetivo de llegar a los 5 millones de hogares en total en 2024 y ofrecerá acceso FTTH mayorista a todos los proveedores de internet.

Clifford Chance a conseillé les prêteurs dans le cadre du financement de l'acquisition d'une participation de 45 % dans le réseau de fibre (FTTH) de Telefónica en Espagne
Clifford Chance a conseillé les prêteurs du consortium formé par Vauban Infrastructure Partners et Crédit Agricole Assurances sur la structuration de leur offre de financement pour les besoins de l'acquisition par le consortium d'une participation de 45 % dans le réseau de fibre (FTTH) de Telefónica en Espagne. Le montant de l'opération s'élève à plus d'un milliard d'euros. Ce réseau sera commercialisé et déployé principalement dans les zones rurales du pays.
La société nouvellement créée Bluevia - formée par l'opérateur de services de télécommunications Telefónica et le véhicule constitué par les membres du consortium qui empruntera le financement susvisé - connectera 3,5 millions de foyers dans les régions rurales d'Espagne, avec pour objectif d'atteindre 5 millions de foyers au total d'ici 2024 et d'offrir un accès FTTH de gros à tous les fournisseurs de services Internet.
