Clifford Chance advises on Lotte Chemical Titan Holding's US$878 million IPO in Malaysia

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance advised Lotte Chemical Titan Holding Bhd, the Malaysian petrochemical unit of South Korean conglomerate Lotte Group, on the international aspects of its US$878 million initial public offering on the Main Market of Bursa Malaysia Securities Bhd. This is Malaysia's largest IPO since 2012.

The team was led by Capital Markets partner Raymond Tong, with partners Johannes Juette providing US expertise and Avrohom Gelber assisting with US tax issues. They were supported by senior associate Jonathan Crandall, and associates Helen Huang, Stephanie Liman and Terence Fong.

Raymond said, “We are delighted to be working on this landmark IPO. Our team has had the opportunity to assist a number of clients on the international aspects of listings in Malaysia and continue our string of impressive deals."

This follows the firm's work on another significant Malaysian IPO earlier this year, Eco World International Berhad's US$580 million offering.
