Clifford Chance advises ALTANA on the sale of ACTEGA Colorchemie to Siegwerk Druckfarben

Clifford Chance advised ALTANA AG on the sale of ACTEGA Colorchemie GmbH to Siegwerk Druckfarben AG & Co. KGaA.

ACTEGA develops and produces coatings, sealants, inks and adhesives for flexible and rigid packaging and for the graphic industry. The packaging industry is the main customer for these products.

The ALTANA Group develops and produces high-end, innovative specialty chemicals. It is based in Wesel, Lower Rhine, Germany, and has 49 production sites and more than 50 service and research lab locations. The company employs more than 6,000 people globally.

Siegwerk is a global leader in ink, varnish and primer production and tailored solutions for packaging, labelling and catalogues. The family-owned company employes around 4,800 people in more than 30 countries.
