Clifford Chance advises the lenders on a solar PV plant portfolio refinancing

Sonnedix group, a solar operator present in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America, has successfully refinanced a portfolio of six photovoltaic parks located in Champagne-Ardenne, Lorraine and Provence-Alpes-Côte-D’azur with a total installed capacity of 57.3 MWp. This is one of the most important solar project refinancing completed in France this year (EUR 203 million).

This challenging solar asset portfolio refinancing was brought to financial close in a record timeframe. The financing was arranged by Banco Santander S.A., Natixis and The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, LTD.

The Lenders were advised by Clifford Chance with Benjamin de Blegiers, partner, Chloé Desreumaux and Audrey Manera, on project and financing aspects, Gauthier Martin, counsel, and Daphné Celet, on public law aspects, Kadiatou Ba on regulatory matters, Fabien Jacquemard on derivatives aspects and Jitka Susankova, counsel, on tax matters.
