Clifford Chance appoints three new partners in Germany

Clifford Chance has appointed three new partners in Germany as of 1 May 2013. The firm appointed a total of 20 new partners globally. The firm's total number of partners now stands at 589 and increases the number of partners at its Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main and Munich offices to 88.

The new partners in Germany are:

Dr. Peter Christ (Corporate/Employment Law, Düsseldorf)
Dr. Gerold M. Jaeger (Real Estate, Frankfurt)
Thomas Reischauer (Real Estate, Frankfurt)

Dr. Peter Christ advises corporate clients on all aspects of individual and collective employment law. One of the key areas of his work is advising on corporate acquisitions and restructurings and related negotiations with the works council. He advises on all compliance-related employment law issues and any related investigations, including but not limited to, data protection.

Peter Christ's promotion to partnership represents a significant boost to the Clifford Chance's employment practice in Germany and to the Düsseldorf office.

Dr. Gerold M. Jaeger specialises in advising sellers, investors and banks in connection with real estate transactions (including financing) with an emphasis on portfolio and sale and leaseback transactions, project development and real estate financing. Our clients also benefit from the fact that he holds a diploma in business administration and is fluent not only in English but also in Spanish, French and Portuguese.

Thomas Reischauer specialises in advising both German and international investors on real estate transactions (asset and share deals) and real estate financing. He also assists with project development and general construction and architectural law matters, as well as commercial leases. A further principal focus of his activities involves advising investors and banks on transactions in the hotel/leisure sector. He is qualified as real estate M&A advisor (ebs).

The appointment of two new partners will help to further strengthen our position as a renowned market leader in the real estate sector.

Die internationale Anwaltssozietät Clifford Chance ernennt zum 1. Mai 2013 drei neue Partner in Deutschland. Global baut die Sozietät die Partnerschaft mit insgesamt 20 neuen Partnern aus. Die Gesamtzahl der Partner erhöht sich damit weltweit auf 589, an den drei deutschen Standorten Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main und München auf 88.

Dr. Peter Christ berät Unternehmen zu sämtlichen Aspekten des Individual- und Kollektiv-Arbeitsrechts. Ein Schwerpunkt seiner Tätigkeit ist dabei der Erwerb und die Umstrukturierung von Unternehmen und die damit verbundenen Verhandlungen mit dem Betriebsrat. Er berät zu den arbeitsrechtlichen Aspekten von Compliance und den damit verbundenen Ermittlungen, insbesondere zum Datenschutz.

Mit der Ernennung von Peter Christ als zusätzlichem Partner erfahren die deutsche Arbeitsrechtspraxis von Clifford Chance und der Standort Düsseldorf eine deutliche Stärkung.

Dr. Gerold M. Jaeger berät vorwiegend Verkäufer, Investoren und Banken bei Immobilientransaktionen einschließlich deren Finanzierung. Besondere Schwerpunkte seiner Tätigkeit sind die Übertragung von Immobilienportfolios, Projektentwicklungen sowie Immobilienfinanzierungen. Mandanten profitieren darüber hinaus von seiner Qualifikation als Diplom-Betriebswirt (BA) sowie seinen exzellenten Kenntnissen nicht nur der englischen, sondern auch der spanischen, portugiesischen und französischen Sprache.

Thomas Reischauer ist spezialisiert auf die Beratung von in- und ausländischen Investoren bei Immobilientransaktionen (Asset- und Sharedeals) und deren Finanzierung. Daneben begleitet er Projektentwicklungen und den Bau von großen Anlagen und berät allgemein zu Fragen des Bau- und Architektenrechts sowie des gewerblichen Mietrechts. Er setzt einen weiteren Schwerpunkt auf die Beratung von Investoren und Banken im Zusammenhang mit Hoteltransaktionen und Hotelbetreiberverträgen. Er ist qualifiziert als Real Estate M&A Advisor (ebs).

Durch die Ernennung von zwei neuen Partnern wird die renommierte Real Estate-Praxis der Sozietät ihre marktführende Position im Immobilienrecht weiter ausbauen.
