Mark Hyde to lead Clifford Chance Asia Pacific Finance Practice

Clifford Chance today announces that global head of restructuring and insolvency Mark Hyde has been elected to serve a four year term as Asia Pacific Finance Practice Area Leader and will relocate to Hong Kong in 2013. Mark, who has previously worked in the region twice, will take additional responsibility for running the restructuring and insolvency practice in Asia Pacific.

Huw Jenkins, who has led Clifford Chance's Finance Practice in Asia Pacific since 2001, will continue to focus on worldwide projects as part of the firm's energy and infrastructure group.

Mark Hyde joined Clifford Chance in 1984 and became a partner in 1993. He has worked on many landmark restructurings and insolvencies, notably National Bank of Brunei, Peregrine, Monier, Dubai World and Nakheel. Mark is legally qualified in England & Wales, Hong Kong and Brunei, is a licensed insolvency practitioner and is a past president of the Insolvency Lawyers Association. Mark has been head of restructuring and insolvency at Clifford Chance since 1998.
