Clifford Chance advises Equistone Partners Europe on the sale of Global Blue

Leading international law firm Clifford Chance is acting for Equistone Partners Europe on the sale of Global Blue, to Silver Lake and Partners Group for a consideration of €1billion.

Global Blue is a leading provider of traveller-related services including tax refunds for travellers on purchases when shopping overseas, dynamic currency conversion services which enable customers to pay in their home currency at the point of sale, and marketing services for merchants.

David Walker, Clifford Chance's Head of Private Equity, is leading a team of lawyers from 20 of Clifford Chance's international offices, supporting a client that it advised on the acquisition of the business in 2007. David is being assisted by senior associate Andrew Mills, along with lawyers Ross Dawson and Charlotte Clarke.

Clifford Chance has a long-standing relationship with the client, most recently advising on the spin-out from Barclays Bank when Barclays Private Equity became Equistone Partners Europe.
