MiCA - an overview

The European Parliament has approved the new Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MICA). MiCA will radically change the regulatory environment for crypto, establishing a broad regulatory framework for cryptoassets in the EU which introduces licensing of cryptoasset service providers and issuers. Certain provisions will apply from next year.
