On 12 June 2012, the Upper House adopted the two bills liberalising private company law. The Minister of Justice has stated that the rules will come into effect on 1 October 2012. This marks the completion of one of the largest legislative projects in the field of company law in the past 50 years, following eight years of parliamentary labour.
