The Committee of the Customs Union (which comprises Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan) has decided to abolish customs duties and import taxes for certain types of aircraft leased within the Customs Union and extend the temporary import period applicable to all aircraft. These decision will make long leases more attractive for Russian airlines.
